Detail
Yorkshire Aeromedical is a CAA-approved aeromedical clinic in Leeds offering cabin crew attestation medicals to crew based across Yorkshire and at Leeds Bradford Airport. Every cabin crew member operating on a UK-registered commercial aircraft needs a valid UK CAA cabin crew attestation. It is a Part-MED requirement and must be in place before you begin training or return to operational duties. The assessment looks at your general health, vision, hearing, and fitness to carry out cabin crew responsibilities in a pressurised flight environment.
The same UK CAA standard applies whoever you fly for, so one appointment covers you whether you are joining Jet2, easyJet, TUI, British Airways, Eastern Airways, Virgin Atlantic or any other UK operator. The attestation stays with you if you move between airlines during its validity period.
Please note: We provide UK CAA medicals only. If your employer requires an EASA cabin crew medical, you will need to arrange this with an EASA-designated examiner.
Based near Leeds Bradford Airport
Our clinic is at Sunny Bank Mills in Farsley, about fifteen minutes from Leeds Bradford Airport. This makes us convenient for crew based at the Jet2 hub and for anyone travelling in from across West Yorkshire.
What to bring
- Photographic identification, such as a passport or driving licence
- Any glasses or contact lenses that you use day to day
- A list of current medications and any ongoing conditions
- The name of your airline and your start or renewal date, where known
Chaperone
If you would like a chaperone present during your examination, please let us know as early as possible. See our chaperone policy for details.
For airlines and training providers
We work with airlines and training providers to arrange cabin crew attestations for intakes and renewals. If you need to organise appointments for a group, please get in touch and we can arrange appointments around your roster.
After the examination
In most cases the certificate is issued at the end of the appointment. If further information is needed, we will explain exactly what is required. Where casework is needed after the appointment, for example reviewing a specialist letter or liaising with the CAA on your behalf, this is charged at £100 per hour in 30-minute blocks. We will always give you a clear indication of the likely charges before proceeding.
Cancellation
You can cancel or reschedule free of charge with more than 5 days notice. Within 5 days, a 50% fee applies. Within 48 hours, the full fee is charged.
