The Class 1 Medical Certificate is required for all commercial pilots, including those holding or applying for an Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL) or Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL).

Common questions about Class 1 Medical examinations.

Class 1 and Class 2 medicals take approximately 90 minutes. Cabin Crew medicals take approximately 60 minutes. Class 1 medicals include additional tests such as ECG and audiometry.
Please bring valid photo ID (passport or driving licence), your glasses or contact lenses if you wear them, details of any medications you take, and any previous medical certificates or relevant medical records.

We accept all major credit and debit cards, bank transfers, and cash. Payment is due at the time of your appointment.
Class 1 medicals include a comprehensive physical examination, ECG (electrocardiogram), audiometry (hearing test), vision assessment including colour perception, urine analysis, and a review of your medical history.
For pilots under 40, Class 1 medicals are valid for 12 months. For pilots aged 40-59, validity is 12 months. For pilots 60 and over, the certificate is valid for 6 months.
No, you cannot act as a pilot if your medical certificate has expired. We recommend booking your renewal appointment at least 4-6 weeks before expiry to ensure continuity.
Class 1 medicals are required for commercial pilots (ATPL/CPL holders), while Class 2 medicals are for private pilots (PPL holders). Class 1 has more stringent requirements and includes additional tests like ECG.
